My favorite places were the Meteora Monasteries and the Sumela monastery. The way they were built either on top of a cliff or into the mountain cliffs just seem unreal. The fog also lent itself to that fairytale feeling of being unworldly. I am a person who really does not care for large crowded places. I believe I miss too much of what I could see around me when people push and shove and do not take care who they run into. The fresh bread was delicious. That is something the Europeans have a step up on the USA. Wish we had had more GOOD chocolate cookies we could have given Sertac.
